This workshop introduces Miqyas Al Dhad, a first-of-its-kind Arabic language measurement framework currently under development, to promote and preserve the Arabic language across the Arab world. Miqyas Al Dhad is a universal tool for measuring Arabic literacy and text complexity. It will help education leaders, policymakers, curriculum and assessment developers, teachers, and publishers make informed, data-driven decisions to improve Arabic literacy. This session will provide insight into the development of the framework, future possibilities, and how it can improve literacy skills.
